Eric is returning for his third year as head coach at Woodbrooke. We are thrilled to have him back!
Eric grew up swimming for the Glen, the Akitas, Farmington High School and Wayne State University. He specializes in sprint training, and technical analysis of Butterfly and Freestyle stokes. He went from swimming for The Glen to assistant coach at The Glen. Eric has a great passion for the sport of swimming and helping each child reach their personal goals. His goal is to teach the kids dedication by building a team environment for them to enjoy and grow in the swimming world and in their personal lives.
Jayson is starting his second season coaching with Woodbrooke Swim Club. Jayson started swimming with the Flint Falcons and swam for Wayne State University. Jayson is a 2-time All-American in the 100 and 200yd breaststrokes. He has competed at both the Division 2 NCAA Championships and the 2014 Phillips 66 Speedo Senior Nationals. Jayson has extensive experience in the individual medley and breaststroke races as well as Long Course Meters and Short Course Yards training.
Josh grew up in Schoolcraft, Michigan and started swimming at the age of 14 for Mattawan High School, Great Lakes Aquatics (GLA) and the Southwest YMCA of Michigan (SWYM). Most recently, Josh swam for Wayne State University where he was a two-time National Champion anchoring the 200 free and 200 medley relays. Josh specializes in the sprint freestyle races as well as having extensive knowledge of sprint group training.
Nick started swimming at Cranbrook Swim Club at six years old and was on the team up until last year. He also swam and played water polo at Groves High School for four years. Last fall Nick went on to coach the JV water polo team at Groves and be an assistant coach at Drop Aquatics. In the fall, Nick will be attending Michigan State University where he plans to play water polo. Nick looks forward to getting to know all of the kids at Woodbrooke and sharing his passion for swimming this season!
Keri started swimming for the Beechview Breakers when she was 5 yrs old and started swimming year round when she was 8 yrs old. During high school, Keri swam for Farmington Harrison. She has been coaching for the Troy High girls team since the 2015-2016 school year. Keri also coached this past year with the Farmington YMCA Stingrays. Keri has one more year at Oakland University where she is majoring in writing and rhetoric with a specialty in digital media.
