We will run all practices, even when raining, as long as the air temperature is at least 58 degrees at 3:00pm. However, we may cancel a practice if the coaches/swim chair feels that the weather is too harsh to practice, despite the temperature. A practice that has already begun will be suspended if/when there is lightning/thunder. The delay will be 30 minutes from the last lightning strike/thunder clap. The intention, however, is to hold as many practice sessions as possible without cancellation.
Swim families will be notified of all cancellations by email and Remind101. Remind101 is a text service frequently used by teachers. This is a one-way communication. In other words, information will be sent to you but you will not be able to respond. Please see the Remind101 sign up instructions to the right. During the season, please be sure to check your email and/or messages on a regular basis for announcements, especially if you think the weather is questionable.
